Clears the barrier
Micronized chlorella particles physically remove stratum corneum cells with precision — no over-stripping, no synthetic grit.
Prepare. Deliver.
Let the algae in.
The first step in the chlorella ritual. Micronized algae powder exfoliates the barrier — then deposits its peptides, B vitamins, and Growth Factor directly into freshly opened skin.
Most exfoliators remove dead skin and stop there. This one does something more considered: the same micronized chlorella powder that clears the stratum corneum simultaneously presses its bioactive compounds — peptides, B vitamins, amino acids, CGF — against skin that is, for a brief window, measurably more permeable than normal.
"A 2018 study in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science demonstrated that transepidermal absorption of topical agents increased significantly following stratum corneum removal. The window of peak permeability is approximately 30 to 60 minutes post-exfoliation."
Int. Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2018
Physical exfoliation with micronized chlorella particles removes the uppermost stratum corneum cells, temporarily thinning the primary barrier to absorption.
The friction of exfoliation presses chlorella's bioactives against freshly exposed, permeable skin — at the exact moment of maximum receptivity.
The Active Ingredient
Micronization reduces chlorella to an ultra-fine powder, dramatically increasing surface area and the concentration of bioactive contact per square centimeter of skin.
Chlorella is rich in proline, glycine, and lysine. Mechanical exfoliation assists their delivery into the upper dermis. Clinical research (Shih & Cherng, 2012) shows chlorella peptides provide complete protection against UVC-induced cytotoxicity in fibroblasts.
Human skin fibroblasts treated with chlorella-derived peptide after UVC irradiation showed complete protection from cytotoxicity — while untreated cells in every control group experienced damage. CDP inhibited caspase-3 activity (the enzyme that triggers cell death) and prevented UV-induced DNA fragmentation.

CGF stimulates Type I and III collagen expression. By disrupting the stratum corneum first, CGF peptide fractions have a credible route to the upper dermis — something passive application cannot reliably achieve.
Quantitative PCR analysis confirmed that CGF extracted from Chlorella vulgaris increased collagen I and III gene expression in human fibroblast cell line Hu02, indicating direct stimulation of collagen synthesis.

B3 (niacinamide) reduces melanin transfer and repairs UV-damaged DNA. Barrier disruption makes its absorption into the epidermis highly reliable — transforming a surface-level vitamin into an active working at depth.
Niacinamide effectively reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation and age spots, leading to a more uniform skin tone. Separately, niacin has been shown to protect keratinocytes from UV-induced DNA damage by replenishing cellular ATP through NAD⁺ synthesis.

What sets it apart
Micronized chlorella particles physically remove stratum corneum cells with precision — no over-stripping, no synthetic grit.
Barrier disruption opens a measurable permeability window — chlorella's peptides, CGF, and B vitamins enter at the moment of maximum receptivity.
Removal of dulling stratum corneum cells reveals fresher skin instantly. B3 begins regulating melanin transfer from the first application.
Chlorella's carotenoids and peptides neutralize free radicals and shield fibroblasts from UV-induced DNA damage simultaneously.
The freshly exfoliated barrier is the optimal canvas for Step 02 — the clay mask draws deeper, and its chlorella actives absorb with clinical reliability.
Apply a small amount to damp skin. Work in gentle circular motions across the face, avoiding the eye area.
Continue massaging for 60–90 seconds. You are simultaneously clearing and delivering — allow both processes to complete.
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Pat dry. The skin is now primed and at peak permeability for the next step.
Follow immediately with Step 02 — the Chlorella Clay Mask — within the 30–60 minute absorption window. Use 2–3× per week.
One prepares, one nourishes and draws. The chlorella thread runs through both.
